Jerusalah + Trevor, otherwise known as Jae + TJ, had the sweetest little church wedding with a backyard reception on October 9th, 2021.
We could not have been more honored to be a small part of their big day.
Here's a peek of the cuteness that they curated for their celebration of love!
Pretty Little Details
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is seeing all the pretty details that the couple collects for their special day.
The items may be small in size, but collectively help show off the couple's unique style, and personalities.
Starting with their invitation suite, they had the cutest save the date that they sent out to their friends, family, and loved ones to help them remember when their wedding would be before their actual invitations went out. Jae + TJ's save the date even was also an adorable wooden magnet!
The soft pinks and green florals of their invitation suite complimented Jae's rose gold jewelry too.
When I arrived at their home, Jae showed me around their setup and gathered all the pretties for me to photograph. Outside at their reception area, on their sweetheart table, was a skeleton lovers sculpture. Jae mentioned that she told TJ that without a doubt, somewhere at their wedding, she would sneak in skeletons! Knowing Jae, I loved this so much! It fits her personality perfectly! When we went inside, I noticed another skeleton sculpture, dressed in wedding attire, and the skeleton bride pulling off the groom skeleton's head in a passionate kiss! Jae said that she really had wanted to use that one, but people thought it might be a little too morbid. October being the spooky season, I couldn't get enough of it, I HAD to incorporate it in photos!
THAT DRESS!
Jae has phenomenal taste in gowns, well, and pretty much all her details really! I was extremely smitten with her dress, and it fit her perfectly, as a wedding gown should.
The creamy, lace textured gown is from Memories Bridal Shop, located in downtown Kalamazoo, Mi.
The bouquet was also classically beautiful, with roses, baby's breath, and sunflowers. Horrocks of Battle Creek Mi. did a great job creating Jae's bouquet.
Ceremony
The couple's ceremony was held at The First United Methodist Church in Battle Creek, Mi. The historical church is filled with gorgeous stained glass and warm tones making it very inviting. The history of the church dating back to 1833 feels symbolic, almost as if becoming one within the foundation of this long-standing community is a symbol for a strong, loving, and healthy marriage.

Reception
After family formals outside the lovely church, the couple invited their guests back to their home where they converted their backyard into the cutest little reception venue.
The steeped white tent from All You Need Rental, and flickering candles offering such a homey, happy environment. And of course, don't forget about that skeleton sculpture! Isn't it so dang cute!?
They had a taco bar, mostly organized and prepared by Jae's Mama, and it looked super yummy! They even had Tennesse wine that the couple brought home special from their vacation, which, I heard was amazing! Jae said they purchased 9 bottles to bring home for their wedding, but only 6 made it home!
Their cake that looked as wonderful and delicious as ever was made by Sam's Club! I'm always so impressed with the quality of their cakes that I've seen at weddings.
The adorable individual pies added to the fall vibes of their October wedding were actually homemade by Jae's father!
Fun little GLP side note:
Every wedding I go to, if Josh is not present, I always make it a point to bring home a treat for him. Other vendors actually now remind me at events to make sure to bring home a treat for him! It's made for a cute wedding tradition. Josh can confirm that the pies were as scrumptious as they were adorable!
Jae + TJ shared their first dance to No Matter Where You Are, The Wedding Version, by Us The Duo. While for their dances with their parents, they danced to Don't Blink, by Kenny Chesney. Both Jae and her father, TJ and his mother, danced at the same time. I think it's so special when the couple and their parents have their dances be as one. To me this is another symbolic thing, the families becoming one.
Thank you
We hope you enjoyed the sneak of Jae + TJ's day!
