We are Rikilee and Josh, the GLP team!

We are a portrait and wedding photography team based in Southwest Michigan, but ready to travel.

As life partners, Josh and I got married on August 28th, 2021, and we have a deep passion for capturing the most special moments of people's lives.

We genuinely invest in our clients, and they invest in us because we care about their engagement, wedding, marriage, family memories, and most importantly, ABOUT THEM! When we're not working, we love spending time with our big, goofy German Shepherd, Cain.

Having dinner together is a big thing for us. Even though it's not in the traditional sit-down-to-the-table kind of dinner we still make sure to chat about our day while indulging in a homecooked meal almost every night.

Adventurous date nights are our jam too! We believe that it's essential to keep the butterflies alive in a relationship and always strive to be each other's best friends. While we share many similar interests and values, we have distinct personalities that complement each other, making us the best business team

I'm Rikilee, the outgoing, bubbly, and silly half of the duo, with a deep love of nostalgia through music and movies. I pride myself on being empathetic and genuine, and I love to connect with people by listening to them and understanding their needs. I'm the girl you can count on to laugh and cry with you and your guests on your special day.

Josh is also empathetic, but he prefers to stay behind the scenes. He's an expert problem-solver, and his technical skills are second to none. He's my rock and my go-to person when I run into any technical issues. Without him, I would have probably set our computers on fire by now!

We're incredibly grateful to have each other, both as life partners and business partners, and we can't wait to work with you to capture the memories that will last a lifetime.

How We Named Our Business

Introducing Get Lucky Photography, LLC, or simply GLP for short.

We're a playful duo that values silliness and embraces the unexpected. Our name often draws different reactions, but we love it when people giggle because it tells us a little something about who they are. We love getting to know who the real you is.

So why GLP?
Well, I am a wholehearted believer in lucky pennies. I'm always on the lookout for them wherever we go, and even considered creating a photo collection of every penny I find. But it's the moments when I stumble upon them unexpectedly that bring the most joy, as if the universe knew I needed a little bit of luck.

Although it's not just the coin sporting our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, that I'm a firm believer in. I also believe that the full moon brings out our wild side, that a pinch of lavender means good fortune, and that a good book or photograph is like bottling up time travel. Our name reflects our belief that there's always something magical and beautiful waiting to be discovered, even in the subtlest of places.
