After over a decade of adventures together, Erin and Max eloped in 2022, following years of travel, living in various places, and welcoming numerous pet babies into their lives. This year, they decided to bring the celebration to Michigan, sharing their love and commitment with their closest family and friends. GLP was lucky enough to be there, capturing the magic of their whimsically elegant day.
Pretty Little Details + Getting Ready With Erin
The big day took place at Tandale Nature Barn. In the charming getting-ready space, Erin was surrounded by some of her closest loved ones as they prepared for the celebration. She shared all her beautiful details with me, from the classic traditional pieces to the playful t-shirts for their t-shirt toss. One of the highlights was easily the stunning cape from her wedding gown, found at the Wedding Shoppe—yes, a cape! Erin also wore a diamond necklace, a treasured gift from her grandfather to her and her sisters, affectionately known as "Grandpa Diamonds."
With the final touches lovingly applied by her mother and sisters, Erin was ready for a first look with her side of the wedding party. The reactions were absolutely priceless!

Getting Ready With Max
Max, a decorated military officer, chose to wear his full dress blues for the special occasion. What seemed like in true Max fashion, he added a personal touch—a playful, space-themed party cat shirt underneath his jacket. It was a fun and unexpected detail that perfectly captured his personality.
Meanwhile, his side of the wedding party relaxed at the Tree House on Tandale Nature Barn's property. They watched the Olympics and put the finishing touches on their attire, including pinning on their boutonnieres.
Wedding Party
Erin and Max are such fun and loving people, so it was no surprise they were surrounded by many friends and family. Their wedding party was a lively group of 19, including the couple themselves. We captured photos of each side after they got ready, followed by full group shots after the ceremony. With this crowd, there was no shortage of excitement and laughter!
First Look With Dad
The videographer from Mike Staff Productions, David and I discovered a picturesque spot behind the venue’s house, perfect for capturing special moments. We used it not only for photos of Erin and Max but also for Erin's first look with her dad. It was a sweet and intimate moment, reflecting the close bond this family shares.
Quick Spritz
Before the ceremony, Erin applied a quick spritz of her perfume. To create a lasting memory of this beautiful day, she chose a custom fragrance just for the occasion. I love that every time she wears this scent, it will remind her of the amazing day they shared.
Ceremony
All their ceremony elements were so cute! The arch they stood under, their adorable nephew who ran the ring down the aisle, their brother who officiated the wedding; it was all so perfect. Even the candle lighting ritual on a windy day was made into the best moment.
