Best Buddies For Life.
On September 18th, 2021, in the backyard of the home that they built, Haley and Andrew were married, becoming best buddies for life.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family, with their backyard converted into their own stunningly intimate wedding venue, Haley and Andrew hosted their ceremony and reception. With sparkling lights and greenery strung everywhere, it was the dreamiest evening.
The first time I chatted with Haley, she mentioned that her vision for their wedding was "Frank Sinatra meets upcycled vintage, with greens and burgundies". Also to have Disney and Pixar's Ratatouille playing. All of which came to life, her wedding dress, a beaded vintage roaring 20's feel from Dearly Loved Bridal, Andrew, and the wedding party in burgundies and lots of lush eucalypti placed around the location. Even the movie Ratatouille played while Haley and her party people got ready for the big day. And of course, a Frank Sinatra record out, with his music on the playlists.
During that same first Facetime chat, Haley introduced me to her fur babies, Mocha and Rocky, plus her plant babies. While Rocky and Mocha were at their Grandma's house for the wedding day, I did get to include the plant babies in a couple of the photos.
Haley and Andrew's back deck, overlooking their ceremony site made for the perfect place for Haley and her father to start their journey down the aisle. Having quick access to the home also proved helpful, since every ceremony needs its time for laughs and theirs was when one of their guests had to run back inside to grab the couple's rings.
Their wedding party consisted of their closest friends and their siblings. Originally they'd planned for Haley's brother to stand with her party people, Andrew's sisters, Haley's new sisters, but to keep things even without having to change things, her brother stood with Andrew. Since he loves both of them, it worked out perfectly. We still made sure to get some shots with her brother standing with Haley and her party people.
Their sweet treats consisted of cakes made by family members, and what fall wedding would be complete without cider and doughnuts?!
What do you do when you can't decide on a first dance song for your wedding? Do both!
Haley and Andrew danced to both Andrew's pick, Millionaire by Chris Stapleton, and Haley's pick, It Just Comes Natural by George Strait.
For Haley and her father's father/daughter dance, they spun around to Somewhere Over The Rainbow and What a Wonderful World. While Andrew and his Mama danced to You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins.
It was a wedding day filled with lots of love, happiness, and goofiness. We are incredibly thankful to have been the photographers to be there to help capture it. We hope you enjoy the blog until we deliver the complete gallery.
