Getting Ready
Brooke + Corey had a wedding weekend to remember! They were married at the Paw Paw Conservation Club on Saturday, October 8th, and started the fun by camping there beginning on Thursday.
Some people might be surprised to know that the bride wanted to camp before their big day, but knowing Brooke, I was not surprised at all. One of my favorite things about Brooke is that she is always up to adventure and trying things. She is not afraid of a challenge and will come prepared, all while being go with the flow and happy to be there. Her positive, down-to-earth personality always makes everyone around her happy too.
This is also why when she told me on the phone when we built their wedding day timeline that they didn't have a "getting ready" room, but that they were going to make the hall super cute, I had no doubt in my mind that it would be adorable. And it was.
I loved the shots of her beautiful dress from Fantastic Finds on the wall with her personalized, "Mrs. Sackett" jean jacket and hanger. It was a whole extra level of cute incorporating their daughter's tiny, almost matching dress.
First Look
We set Brooke + Corey's first look up in front of a woodsy area, still green with pops of fall colors and sunshine peeking through.
I love that first looks let the couple have a private moment, feeling all the emotions as they see each other before their ceremony. The nerves can settle a bit and the excitement just kicks in.
Wedding Party
Brooke + Corey had a large wedding party filled with all their favorite people. It's easy to see why they're all so special to them too. Every one of their wedding party members was ready to help make their day the best it could be. Whether it was lending a hand or back, or always staying upbeat even through hiccups like broken heels or mismatched coats.
But most importantly, they were all ready to celebrate Brooke + Corey's love!
Ceremony
There are so many things I could say about their ceremony! I loved how they weren't afraid to take on new traditions and make their wedding ceremony their own. Here are my top 5 favorite moments for them:
1). "Daddy, it's time to give Mommy our last name."
The sign that Brooke + Corey's adorable daughter, Renley carried down the aisle with the help of Brooke's MOH and sister, Marissa.
2). A Beer Guy instead of the traditional "Usher" or "Flower Child".
3). Brooke having both her Dad and Step-Dad walk her down the aisle, but not without cheers of Fireball first.
4). Before receding together down the aisle, Brooke + Corey with their wedding party pulled out a hidden Fireball shot.
5). My absolute favorite; the tears of happiness Corey had, the loving way Brooke wiped them away, and the big knowing laughs they shared afterward.
Golden Hour
Before heading back in the wagons to the reception site, we had to get some golden hour goodness. It was too gorgeous a day, with the most perfect glow to pass up.
Reception
Good drinks, food, laughs, and dancing! Their reception had all the best things. They even entered their reception by playing Flip Cup with their wedding party. To say there was no shortage of love and fun would be an understatement.
Love Note From GLP
Brooke + Corey, being able to help document some of your big life moments has meant more to me than I could ever say. Getting to see how you two love each other, love Renley and the love that people have for you is a magical thing.
Saying thank you doesn't seem to begin to cover it, but thank you. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your big moments.
