Jennifer + Ben
July 22nd, 2023
Jennifer + Ben are such a sweet couple. They love to cook together, spend time with their pup, Bailey, which Ben lovingly calls his “B&B time”. They enjoy their involvement with the church, playing games like Mario Kart, Euchre, and Hunt a Killer.
They had an intimate wedding, with dusty and cobalt blues and whites, with fun little games, complete with inspirational and adorable pens, for their guests. They wanted a simple, yet classic and timeless day where
all of their close family and friends could come together to celebrate their love and their union, with faith-oriented values. And it was exactly that. ♥
Details
Jennifer had planned the loveliest little details for their day. They had a personalized legacy Bible, a customized ring dish, the cutest vow books, Jennifer's something and old white and blue handkerchief and a special made perfume! Which, Jennifer and her good friend made a custom wedding scent from essential oils. They say memories are associated with scents, so now they can have their memory bottled up!
As a special surprise to Ben, Jennifer wore the heart necklace he gave her. The necklace was originally a gift he had given Grandmother.
These tiny details made such big, beautiful impacts on their day.
Gown from David's Bridal
Tux from Woodland Tailoring
Shoe Exchange
They each wrote each other itty bitty love letters on the bottoms of each others shoes to exchange. This was one of my favorite moments of their day! I got to witness each one of them read their notes and light up. They even both said, "with a little heart!" in the most adorable way. We HAD to make sure this was documented in video! See how cute it was?!
First Touch
A First Touch is a great alternative to a First Look. It's still a way to "see" each other before the ceremony, making it all the more real.
It was awesome to see them before and then see the excitement build and the nerves dissipate as they had a chance to talk and hold hands before walking down the aisle.
Ceremony, Marriage License + Ring Appreciation
Surrounded by their family and friends, they exchanged their vows, said their I Do's and built a unity cross together.
The Unity Cross signifies the wedding covenant. It is a lasting reminder of the couple coming together with their faith, beginning their Life long Journey as One. The bold outer cross representing one partner, they are the Strength and cover for their family and home, yet without their significant other, incomplete.
It's always such an uplifting thing to see the couple recede from their ceremony and give high fives to their wedding party that follows in celebration! They all signed the marriage license to make it official and as they were standing there had to appreciate the rings! It was super comical hearing Ben say, "She went to Jared's!".
Family Photos
*Wedding Tip*
For family photos, it's always a GREAT idea to have a list of the people you're hoping to have photos with following the ceremony. This helps make sure that you can get all the photos you want and still get to your other activities and celebrating faster!
Wedding Party
Of course, what's a wedding without your favorite people by your side?!
And of course, we had to include Bailey!
Jennifer+ Ben
From their engagement session, I knew that Jennifer and Ben were incredibly photogenic together! The wedding day was no exception, they were so much fun to photograph. And Jennifer had that gorgeous, sparkly veil to really take things to the next level!
After photos, they had a delicious meal at one of their favorite little cozy Italian restaurants. They announced the winners of the games that were at the wedding and enjoyed the company of all their loved ones.
Jennifer and Ben then sent Bailey to her Grandma and Grandpas for a long sleepover so they could continue celebrating on their honeymoon in Jamaica!
