Hayley + Nick
Getting Ready + First Look
At their wedding venue, Warehouse 6 in Holland Michigan, Hayley's Mama helped her get into her lovely dress that Hayley purchased from The Wedding Shoppe. Her gorgeous hair and make-up done by her extremely talented sisters.
Nick's tux jacket was as cool as the couple promised and paired just right with his sunglasses.
The couple's day was laid-back, classy yet simple and just full of fun, from the getting ready + first looks, all the way to the reception. Which, when I first talked to the couple about what they had hoped for from their day, it was exactly those things.

Ain't A Party Without Your Wedding Party
And of course, it's not a party without your Wedding Party! It's so important to choose the people you love most and trust to help you with your wedding day, and Hayley + Nick did just that.
Ceremony
The couple's officiant was actually one of their Party People too! I had a chance to chat with him before the ceremony for photos of course, but also to go over how long it would be and important deets like that. They told me that they don't know why the couple picked them because they weren't big fans of public speaking. Once the ceremony was over, everyone knew exactly why Hayley + Nick picked them. Even though it was short and sweet, it was said with genuine emotion and almost felt like just watching friends talking. It fit the couples personalities perfectly and couldn't have been a better way for them to exchange their vows and have their marriage ceremony.
Zsasz The Cat, Mr. Brightside + All The Reception Fun
Some of the highlights from Hayley + Nick's wedding for me were the grand entrances, the DJ playing all the right music, the dancing and seeing the love and celebration happening for these two amazing humans.
Hayley + Nick and their wedding party did their grand entrances to the reception in a way that was a first for GLP. Instead of announcing in each party member and the couple to a song, they each prepared a entrance that would be a surprise to Hayley + Nick. It was a contest of who could have the best entrance in the couple's opinion, and whoever that was, would win a prize! They were all hilariously fabulous, but by far my favorite was when "Zsasz" was called out. Zsasz is the couples cat, who one of their wedding party members printed a cutout of. They then coaxed "Zsasz", really the cutout being held by one of Nick's Party People, with a cat toy. Hands down my favorite wedding party entrance to date. Zsasz even ended up staying for the party, making multiple appearances to the dance floor later that evening.
The DJ with Bee Entertainment was absolutely outstanding! They just knew all the right music for the couple and their guests. Plus, they were the best to work with! When The Killers "Mr. Brightside" you could feel the excitement and energy just radiating off the dance floor. Everyone was out there and when that chorus came on, everyone belted it out. I wish I could see some of those videos taken from the middle of the dance crowd by guests and their cellphones!
But the best part truly was the overwhelming amount of love and happiness the couples guests had for them. They're a lucky couple to have each other and the people who surround them, but I'd have to say that the people who have them are equally lucky. ♥
