Catie + Kalob celebrated their 1 year anniversary on Saturday, October 14th 2023. They had a morning full of fall adventures, getting apple cider, pumpkins and seeing farm animals. In the evening they had a cake picnic, chased the sunset and danced in the dark. Then topped off their wonderful day with fondue for two!
I was lucky enough to be there at Catie + Kalob's wedding, as well as be able to help celebrate their 1 year wedding anniversary. ♥

The same talented baker who crafted Catie + Kalob's unique wedding cake, also made their adorable 1 year wedding anniversary cake! Violet Flour Bakes really did an amazing job.
With apple cider fresh from the orchard and the forks (no having to use hands this year!) with the Weiner dog plates, these two had quite the cute little picnic set up!
Chasing The Sun
We had set up under a bridge due to the gloomy weather threatening rain. Just in case, we thought better to have a dry spot to hide out. Fun enough, every time we have planned for a photo date, the weather gets moody. This time, we had a brief peak of sunshine. We left all the picnic set up right in the middle of the trail and chased the sun. Even though the sun and sky changed incredibly fast by the time we got to a spot to see it, we did capture a couple glowy shots that made it all worth it.
Dancing In The Dark
Originally our game plain was to set up a picnic in the cemetery. Since we had a change up due to the weather, once we had the picnic photos done and it wasn't too rainy, we decided to go to try and get a couple cemetery photos. It was completely dark out by this time, so we had to get a little creative. I'd say they turned out pretty good, even if we were just dancing in the dark. :)
